practical working elements that insure good strong paintings such as:
1.) How to build a still life stage.

Simple Secrets Behind Creating a Beautiful Still Life
The Floyd Artist Association is happy to announce a Demonstration by Artist,
Lois Virginia Babb on Sundy, July 15th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
Lois Virginia is going to take you through the process of creating a good strong
still life from A to Z. She will begin with her point of inspiration which will
possibly be beautiful fresh flowers. They will be her star performer in the painting.
From this choice she will then create the "stage" guiding you through how she
chooses supporting objects for the painting and giving your practical tips on how to
build still life. Once she has composed her still life story, she will then perfect
her lighting, choose her palette and demonstrate her approach to painting the still
life. The still life set up will remain in the gallery and artists are invited to paint it.
